What is the difference between Neuromodulators and Dermal Fillers?
Neuromodulators (Botox/Dysport/Letybo/Xeomin/Nuceiva) stop the small muscles in your face from making the movements that cause wrinkles, while Dermal Fillers add/replace volume to areas such as lips, under eyes, cheeks, chin, jaw, temples, nasolabial folds.
Dermal Filler is often used in combination with Neuromodulators to enhance the overall youthful appearance and target areas that Neuromodulators cannot be used.
When should I start Injectables?
There is no right answer to that. Some clients like to start as young as 20 for preventative measures, however most clients are in their 30’s and older. Our collagen starts to break down after the age of 35. Most people notice that their lines at this age start to become more defined and may appear even when they are not showing expression. If you are hesitant to start injectables, we 100% recommend building up the collagen and elastin in your 20s before it starts to decline with Microneedling and a great medical-grade skin care routine.
What if I don’t know what I need for my skin?
Please book an in-person consultation. We can assess your skin, anatomy, lifestyle and curate a treatment plan that works for you! Please ensure you book a virtual consultation with our Medical Director before any Injectable appointment. This is not necessary for facials or chemical peels.
What can I expect in a skin consultation?
You will first have a 5 minute virtual skin consultation with our Medical Director, Jessica, Nurse Practitioner. She will review your medical history, allergies and go over any contraindications to treatment. Following this consultation, you can book an in-person consultation with any of our practitioners to discuss a treatment plan that is customized to you. All treatment options will be discussed, along with risks, anticipated outcomes, consent and expectations. If you have been down the Injectable road before, you can feel free to book a treatment and a consultation will still be performed within this appointment.
What is the best way to treat acne and pimples?
The best way to treat acne will depend on your skin type and the type of acne that you have. Success is typically seen by combining professional treatments and skincare routines. There are several treatments that work well for reducing acne and pimples in all ages. Aerolase Laser is effective for reducing acne and inflammation, while Microneedling helps with acne scars and skin texture. Medical facials and chemical peels exfoliate and cleanse the skin to prevent breakouts. For more advanced treatment, cosmetic injectables like Botox can reduce oil production. Additionally, we’ve created skin programs for our clients tailored to your needs with a signature program offering a comprehensive approach to acne treatment and have some of the best skincare products to reduce breakouts.
How can I treat hyperpigmentation or melasma?
To treat hyperpigmentation or melasma, Aerolase Laser is effective in targeting and lightening dark spots. Medical facials and chemical peels can also exfoliate the skin and help reduce discoloration. For deeper rejuvenation, PRP & Microneedling stimulate collagen and promote even skin tone.
What cosmetic treatments should I get at the first signs of aging?
For early signs of aging, Prolift High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) facial lifting can lift and tighten the skin, while cosmetic injectables like Botox can smooth fine lines. PRP & Microneedling promote collagen production and skin renewal. Book a consultation and we’ll help you determine the best treatments to meet your skincare goals.
Why is it important to use professional skincare products?
Professional skincare products are formulated with higher-quality ingredients that penetrate deeper into the skin, offering more effective results. They are tailored to specific skin concerns, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes. Using professional-grade products in conjunction with treatments like microneedling or Aerolase Laser maximizes skin health and helps maintain long-term results. Book a consultation and we can advise you on the best skincare routine for your skin type or have a look at some of our bestselling skincare products!
What are the benefits of IV therapy for skin health?
IV therapy delivers essential vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream, boosting hydration, reducing inflammation, and supporting collagen production. It’s a great adjunct to treatments like microneedling or Aerolase Laser, helping enhance skin health and promote a radiant, youthful glow.
